Channel 4 has announced a new romance-thriller with an all-star cast, here’s a break down of all the info we have on it so far:

What’s it about?

Careless tells the story of a backpacker from Scotland who finds his way to Sydney, where he crosses paths with a rock legend who has developed difficulties in his old age. Our backpacker becomes determined to become this icon’s carer, and luckily, he gets it. As he grows closer to the rockstar and his wife, he gets more and more involved in their personal relationship. There’s something shady about the protagonist’s past which could be resurfacing…

Who’s in it?

The confirmed cast includes Solly McLeod (House of the Dragon), Robyn Malcolm (After The Party), Katie Leung (Bridgerton), Mabel Li (The Testaments), Thomas Weatherall (The Narrow Road To The Deep North), Alison Peebles (Dept. Q) and Richard Roxburgh (Rake).

Who’s behind it?

Careless is created by author Helen Fitzgerald (The Cry) and Louise Fox (Broadchurch), with Louise Fox and Christian White (Relic) as writers. Stevie Cruz-Martin (Safe Home) will direct. Angela Littlejohn (Juniper), Ian Collie (Saving Mr. Banks), Rob Gibson (Colin from Accounts), Claire Mundell (Only You), Deanne Cunningham (Utopia), Louise Fox and Adrian Burns (Sunshine on Leith) will executive produce the series.

The series is now in production in Sydney and Glasgow.
