Charlize Theron and Taron Egerton star in Netflix’s new survival thriller, Apex. Here’s what we know about it so far:
What’s it about?
A woman takes a solo trip to the wilderness to help process her grief, escaping into the forests of New South Wales, where the film was shot on-location. However, she’s not the only one using the forest as shelter. A serial killer lurks amongst the growth, looking for his next victim. He quickly catches the scent of the lead character, she becomes aware of him too and a race for survival begins.
Who’s in it?
Charlize Theron (Bombshell) and Taron Egerton (Kingsman: The Secret Service) take on the two main roles of the film. They’ll star alongside Eric Bana (Hulk), Caitlin Stasey (Smile), Bessie Holland (The Tourist) and Zac Garred (Bring Him to Me).
Who’s behind it?
Apex is directed by Baltasar Kormákur (Beast). It’s produced by Peter Chernin (The Planet of the Apes series), Jenno Topping (Fear Street), David Ready (Red Sparrow), Ian Bryce (Hard Rain), Charlize Theron, Beth Kono (Atomic Blonde), AJ Dix (A Private War) and Baltasar Kormákur. The executive producers are Ray Angelic (American Made), Will McCance (Lola) and Dawn Olmstead (Black Christmas).
When’s it out?
