Daisy May and Charlie Cooper’s NightWatch commissioned by BBC Two and iPlayer

The BBC has announced a 6×30′ commission for a new show reuniting the multi-award-winning partnership and combined comedy genius of siblings Daisy and Charlie through their mutual and lifelong passion of all things paranormal. The pair will be locked in together – overnight, in some of the spookiest and reputedly most haunted places in the country.

What’s NightWatch about?

The strapline is simple:

Their mission will be to stay from dusk till dawn, hopefully alone.

And there’s more:

From centuries-old castles to abandoned Victorian prisons, each episode will begin with a tour from the building custodian, who will reveal all the spooky stories and chilling incidents reported at the location over the years.

The series will start, where else but close to the Coopers’ hometown at HM Prison Gloucester. This vast prison has long since shut its doors to new inmates but willingly opens the gates again for Daisy and Charlie who will spend the long night shut in a small cell.

The curious pair will then travel and explore what the rest of the UK has to offer on its paranormal plate, including: a historic castle in Northumberland, an old pub frequented by highwaymen in Cannock Chase, bat infested ruins in Herefordshire, a creepy cinema in York and an isolated bothy in the remote Scottish Highlands

The history of each place will be carefully uncovered, revealing the past in all its gory and fascinating detail.

They’ll then be left to their own devices, which is when the fun will really begin.

From midnight, the clock will start to slowly countdown to dawn as they try to settle down for a ‘good’ night’s sleep. It could be a very long night.

We assume the show will air in 2026. Perhaps near Halloween? Given the success of Uncannythe omens are good for this new show.
