Despite plenty of publicity, Outcasts was no match for ITV1’s The Biggest Loser and Channel 4’s surprise hit My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, attracting just 2.9 million for Episode 3 and 2.6 million viewers for Episode 4 on Monday and Tuesday respectively.
BBC One have since announced a schedule change for the series, moving to a late Sunday night slot for Episode 6-8.
Sky1’s Mallorca-set thriller Mad Dogs retained the majority of last week’s opening audience for its second episode last night, averaging an impressive 802,000 viewers.
Meanwhile, over on ITV1, supernatural drama Marchlands increased its audience from last week’s Episode 2, with Episode 3 pulling in 5.8 million viewers.
Earlier in the week, Sky Living’s new UK horror series Bedlam, set in a haunted tower block and starring Will Young, averaged 327,000 viewers for its second episode.
Episode 4 of the new series of Skins dropped to a disappointing 640,000 viewers last night on E4 and E4+1 – the show’s lowest ever ratings.
