The viral monster is next in line for the silver screen as a crew of big names gets attached, here’s what we know about Siren Head:

Hot off the heels of the indie film success of Backrooms, another adaptation of a viral horror creation with roaring success, production companies seem to have caught the bug when it comes to looking at the internet for the next property to adapt. The latest press release about the production have dropped details about who will be bringing the online terror to life.

What is Siren Head?

Initially inked by behemoth illustrator Trevor Henderson, the monster was originally part of the artist’s series of imagined horrors in the contemporary world. This specific creature takes the form of a giant, emaciated body fused at the head with a massive tannoy system, spilling with wires. The creature became a hit online, with artists creating their own illustrations and videos, making the concept spiral into urban legend territory. Multiple video games have been created off the back of this illustration and concept, which has now been picked up by Warner Bros. for adaptation.

Who’s behind the adaptation?

The film inspired by the famous illustration will be directed by Brian Duffield (Whalefall), who will write the script alongside horror’s current favourite creative, Zach Cregger (Weapons).
