September sees Slow Horses season 6 on Apple TV and we have a confirmed return of a particularly character
Yes, supposedly dead in season 1, Olivia Cooke will reprise her role as Sidonie “Sid” Baker.
What’s the latest on Slow Horses season 6
From the latest Apple TV press release:
Slow Horses is a darkly humorous espionage drama that follows a dysfunctional team of British intelligence agents who serve in a dumping ground department of MI5 known unaffectionately as Slough House. Oldman stars as Jackson Lamb, the brilliant but cantankerous leader of the spies who end up in Slough House due to their career-ending mistakes and who frequently find themselves blundering around the smoke and mirrors of the espionage world. Season six sees the Slow Horses on the run as Diana Taverner (Kristin Scott Thomas) embroils them all in a fatally high-stakes game of retaliation and revenge.
As to the cast, apart from those already mentioned we have Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Rosalind Eleazar, Joanna Scanlan, Samuel West, Ruth Bradley, Tom Brooke, Jonathan Pryce and Hugo Weaving, alongside new addition Lenny Rush.
If you’ve read the novels, knowing this season is adapted from Joe Country and Slough House, the sixth and seventh novels in Mick Herron’s CWA Gold Dagger Award-winning Slough House book series is probably enough to let you know Sidonie Baker returns. For everyone else, she seemed pretty dead in season 1, but doubt was cast leaving River Cartwright (Lowden) somewhat distraught. The storyline is overdue continuing.
