Fans are already on the edge of their seat ahead of the sixth season of the hit series Slow Horses, now there’s even more info out about it:

The series has been a hit with its band of irreverent and incapable characters put under the watch of their spiteful boss who has legendary status within the service despite almost entirely rejecting them and their presence. We’ve seen them take on extremists, ex-spies with a grudge and the service itself, so what’s in store for Slough House this time? Recent announcements have given us a clue as to what to expect, including a new first look image (above).

What’s the next season of Slow Horses about?

The trailer promised more action and espionage, with the classic moments that help you remember why our spies landed in Slough House in the first place. Although details on the specifics are still being shrouded in mystery, the trailer gleaned a look at the return of one Frank Harkness. The official release from Apple states the season will see the Slow Horses on the run as Diana Taverner embroils them all in a fatally high-stakes game of retaliation and revenge.

Who’s in this season?

The ensemble will include regular faces such as Gary Oldman (Harry Potter), Kristin Scott Thomas (Gosford Park), Jack Lowden (Dunkirk), Saskia Reeves (The Outrun), Christopher Chung (Bus Girl), Aimee-Ffion Edwards (Dreamland), Rosalind Eleazar (Deep Water), Joanna Scanlan (The Thick of It), Samuel West (On Chesil Beach), Ruth Bradley (Concordia), Tom Brooke (Say Your Prayers), Jonathan Pryce (The Two Popes), Hugo Weaving (The Matrix) and new addition Lenny Rush (Am I Being Unreasonable?).

When will Slow Horses return?

The series will premiere on Wednesday, 16th September, followed by one episode weekly until 21st October 2026.
