The upcoming Netflix project has started to reveal who will be involved, here’s the latest information we have on Somewhere Out There:

Netflix doesn’t seem to be stopping with the sci-fi projects, with the latest project announcing new additions to help bring it to life. Although there’s still more to be known, let’s take a look at what’s been released to the public to build up excitement.

What’s Somewhere Out There about?

Hailed as combining the emotional gravity of productions such as Arrival and The Adam Project, this production aims to use science and drama to tug at heartstrings and hold the audience’s attention. A father finds himself stranded with the rest of his life without his partner after losing his wife. In a state of grief, he sends out a message into the starry void of space – and gets a reply.

Who’s behind it?

Shawn Levy (Stranger Things) was recently announced as the production’s director and will also produce the film alongside Dan Levine (Backrooms). The original script was written by Max Taxe (Moonshot) before it was taken up by Netflix in a bidding war.
