The fourth season of Ripper Street will launch exclusively on Amazon Prime Video next month with an explosive feature-length episode.
David Threlfall and Harry Potter actor Matthew Lewis join returning regulars Matthew Macfadyen, Jerome Flynn, Adam Rothenberg, MyAnna Buring and Charlene McKenna for the new episodes, which began filming in Dublin this summer.
Season 4 will be available for Prime Members in the UK with each episode launching weekly on Fridays from 15 January 2016.
Jay Marine, Vice President Amazon Video EU commented: “Ripper Street has a tremendously loyal fan base and is nothing short of a British institution. We’re delighted to be launching the new series exclusively for Prime members in the UK. Richard Warlow has crafted another dramatic, thrilling and unmissable series to take Reid, Drake and Jackson even further on their journey through the depths of Victorian crime. We can’t wait to kick off the New Year with another great series, and we know fans will be hooked from the first minute.”
Shameless star David Threlfall will play Abel Croker, who is described as a “wharfinger, villain and keeper of other men’s secrets”. Other new cast members include Jonas Armstrong (Robin Hood), David Warner (The Omen) and Killian Scott (Calvary).
