The middle sons are Frederik (Carsten Bjørnlund), who has cut off contact with his mother, and Emil (Mikkel Boe Følsgaard), who only contacts his mother when he needs money. And finally then there is Signe (Marie Bach Hansen), the youngest daughter, who Veronkia gave up for adoption when she was born. Signe has no idea that she is Veronika’s daughter until she is contacted by her and immediately discovers the truth about her biological family.
What for the four siblings should have been a quick and painless division of Veronika’s estate marks the beginning of a journey into a web of secrets and lies which turns their lives upside down and forces them to look at both themselves and each other in an ominous new light.
