Shameless writer Danny Brocklehurst’s acclaimed drama series Ordinary Lies will return to BBC One later this month.
From the makers of Happy Valley and Last Tango In Halifax, the drama’s second season introduces viewers to a fresh array of compelling characters, each with their own tangled web of torrid secrets and lies.
The first season launched on BBC One in March last year, averaging a consolidated audience of over 6 million.

Season 2 starts at 9pm on Tuesday 18 October on BBC One.
Based at the call centre and warehouse of sports sales company Coopers, the six new episodes will follow Toke (Joel Fry), Wendy (Rebekah Staton), Belinda (Jill Halfpenny), Joe (Con O’Neill), Ash (Luke Bailey), Ally (Jennifer Nicholas), Fletch (Matt Di Angelo), Holly (Kimberly Nixon), Patrick (Griff Rhys Jones) and Jenna (Angela Griffin).
The first episode tells the story of head of sales, Joe. Popular with his colleagues, Joe is the life and soul of the office and always the first to tell a joke. However, his cheery demeanour is knocked when he is sent home early from work after an injury to find wife Belinda acting strangely.
