In only a few days since the finale, Stranger Things season 5 is now in the Netflix all time Top 10 chart
We knew the numbers were big, no we know just how big. In the few days since the finale of Stranger Things season 5 was released, the season has now made the all time Top 10 chart.
Just how impressive are the numbers for Stranger Things season 5 (so far)
First a reminder — Netflix counts season views across the first 91 days. With the final season coming in three chunks, they have been able to be a little fluid with definitions of start date. Let’s just check the numbers for the week of release, and not also the count runs Monday – Sunday and the finale appeared very later Wednesday (US time).

We still have all five seasons in the weekly top 10 and over 31 million views. This may look like a drop on the week before (if you check through the numbers) but as the season is now complete, and so longer, this is still a lot of screen time.
If we switch to the latest All Time list, we see the latest season in at #9:

In terms of views, the next few shows above ninth are less than 10 million views ahead. Given we have many more weeks of viewing to come, we are confident the new season will break the top half of the all time list next week, with #4 being a conservative estimate. The #1 slot is certainly a possibility — expect a lot of publicity from Netflix if and when this happens.
