The White Lotus series has exploded in popularity with heaving casts of new and established talent, tropical locations and a thick coating of mystery and mounting tension for each season’s storyline. Season 4 is underway, so let’s break down everything we know about it so far…

What’s it about?

Taking a step away from the usual humidity of the previous seasons’ tropical escapes, this season’s filming of The White Lotus has been rumoured to take place in France. A specific location has been confirmed by the production team, the Château de La Messardière in Saint-Tropez. Previous rumours may have eluded to filming occurring at a Paris hotel, but this season appears to continue the show’s focus on beachside getaways as season 4 will focus on the French Rivera.

Who’s in it?

Steve Coogan (I’m Alan Partridge) has recently grabbed headlines as an addition to the cast. He’ll be joined by Alexander Ludwig (Vikings), AJ Michalka (The Goldbergs) and Caleb Jonte Edwards (Black Snow). There’s bound to be further announcements as the ensemble builds.

When’s it out?

With writing still going on, there’s no release date announced for the new season yet. However, filming is due to take place between April and October this year.
