Today is Stranger Things Day and Netflix has unveiled a first look at animated spinoff Stranger Things: Tales from ’85

On what Netflix has claimed for Stranger Things Day, they have given us a first look at new animated series Tales from ’85. Debuting in 2026, the series is set in the Stranger Things universe between Seasons 2 and 3 and features characters fans already know and love — but with a twist. The series is from showrunner Eric Robles and Stranger Things co-creators Matt and Ross Duffer

So, what is Tales from ’85 about

From the reveal, we learn:

The year is 1985, it’s a freezing winter in Hawkins, and our heroes are about to embark on an epic journey where the original characters must fight new monsters and unravel a paranormal mystery terrorising their town.

It may be the same characters, but it’s an all new voice cast. We have Brooklyn Davey Norstedt as Eleven, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport (In Your Dreams) as Max, Luca Diaz as Mike, Elisha “EJ” Williams as Lucas, Braxton Quinney as Dustin, Ben Plessala as Will and Brett Gipson as Hopper. Odessa A’zion, Janeane Garofalo, and Lou Diamond Phillips are also joining.
