It’s a return to Richmond as Ted Lasso 4 will arrive on Apple TV this summer

With the World Cup coming this summer, it’s no surprise Apple TV has set a summer return for Ted Lasso 4. The series is still in production, but Apple TV has released some details of plot and cast.

Ted Lasso 4 — here’s what we know so far

The new season, which will star and be executive produced by Jason Sudeikis, has Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt and Jeremy Swift are all set to return as their celebrated characters. New season four additions include Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern and Grant Feely.

As to the storyline:

In season four, Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team. Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.

The press release also features some first-look images, including the one above.

While details are scarce, it seems Tanya Reynolds (Sex Education, The Decameron) plays one of the coaching staff. While not mentioned above. Annette Badland is also returning — see the picture below.

Grant Freely (Obi Wan Kenobi) replaces Gus Turner for season 4 — apparently football skills are a factor in the recasting. We will, of course, bring more information as we find it.
