ITV’s upcoming thriller has dropped extra juicy details on what we can expect to see, here’s what we know about The Dark:

Set against a backdrop of mystery with the truth lurking somewhere in the shadows, the latest batch of details about the serial killer drama series gives us a sneak peek into the show.

What’s The Dark about?

Our protagonist is a DI who leads us through a case when the tensions are high and the stakes are even higher. The Scottish countryside is vast a beautiful, the favourite backdrop for the serial killer our lead is trying her best to hunt down. Her investigation uncovers buried truths, tests the bonds of a rural community and makes her doubt her own grasp on reality. The killer knows they’re being hunted, and they fully intend to relish every moment of the little game they cook up between themselves and the determined detective.

Who’s in it?

The series will star Laura Donnelly (The Nevers), Mark Rowley (Trigger Point) and Helen Baxendale (Cuckoo).

When’s it out?

Although there’s no specific date set for release, ITV has announced it will be out this summer so expect the thrills to come your way very soon.
