5 has released a new gallery for The Forsytes showing the key cast in this new reimagining

5 has today released brand new photos from the upcoming costume drama, The Forsytes. The photos include first looks at Stephen Moyer (True Blood) as Jolyon Forsyte Sr, Jack Davenport (The Morning Show) as James Forsyte, Danny Griffin (Fate: The Winx Saga) as Jolyon Forsyte Jr, Tuppence Middleton (Downton Abbey: A New Era) as Frances Forsyte and Eleanor Tomlinson (One Day) as Louisa Byrne.

What is The Forsytes?

As explained in the press release:

Desire, ambition and betrayal are at the heart of this sumptuous costume drama that follows the romances, family bonds and ambitions of the Forsytes, a prominent upper-class family in late 1800s London. The series is inspired by the novels known as the The Forsyte Saga, which were previously adapted with the same title. This new reimagining portrays events that take place before those covered in John Galsworthy’s classic books and brings romance to the forefront.

The gallery also includes pictures of Millie Gibson as Irene Heron and Joshua Orpin as Soames Forsyte. The series is set to premiere on 5 this autumn.
