The Hand that Rocks the Cradle is coming to Disney+ this October — we have the details

Disney+ has announced The Hand that Rocks the Cradle will be available to stream from October 22. It’s a remake / retake on the 1992 film of the same name starring Annabella Sciorra and Rebecca De Mornay. It provided a talking point then, will it do so again?

What is the film about (and can I see the poster?!)

Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Ahsoka) stars as Caitlin Morales, an upscale suburban mom who brings a new nanny, Polly Murphy (Maika Monroe), into her home, only to discover she is not the person she claims to be. The film also stars Raúl Castillo, Martin Starr, Mileiah Vega, Riki Lindhome, and Shannon Cochran. It is written by Micah Bloomberg based on a screenplay by Amanda Silver.

The producers are Michael Schaefer, Mike LaRocca, and Ted Field, and the executive producers are Michael Napoliello, Maria Frisk, and Seth William Meier.
