I’ve seen it myself a surprising amount of times: people who hardly ever watch the BBC. Other times, people who watch very little else. Most of these people were of an older generation, but they’re real.
For those who stick to the Beeb, chances to see Jodie Whittaker firing on all cylinders will have been slim. Certainly too slim. Over the next year, this is going to change, of course. And the change starts here.
This is a trailer for Trust Me, a drama starring Whittaker as a whistleblower nurse who finds herself in a desperate situation, taking desperate measures. It becomes, of course, a matter of life and death. Trust Me was written, it’s worth noting, by The Five‘s Dan Sefton who is an actual, real doctor – unlike his protagonist.
So she’s not a real doctor. Who cares when she’s actually The Doctor?
Trust Me will screen in the BBC’s ‘Week 35’, so while its time and date are yet to be confirmed, I’d bet on it taking over the 9pm Tuesday slot from In the Dark on August 8th.
