Watch the trailer…

Seventeen-year-old Ashley falls head over heels for Reece after meeting at a party. He’s charming, handsome, older, and makes her feel like the only girl in a room. But he is also insecure, jealous and he’ll try to control every aspect of her life.

At first she doesn’t mind when he grabs her phone and checks her messages. She knows he’d go mad if he thought that she was even thinking about another man, but Ashley likes that he’s possessive; it shows how much he cares. They fall out, she forgives him, and then it’s amazing again.

One day Reece grabs Ashley – pregnant with his daughter – and smashes her head into the wall. Ashley is shocked and scared, but she can see how sorry he is. She absolutely believes him when he sobs that he will never do it again.

But Reece’s moods become more intense. Ashley learns how to hide her bruises with make-up, and the right clothes, but it’s not always physical violence. Reece is manipulative. He polices what she wears, demands to know where she is and who she’s with, and makes her send him photos to prove it.

When the violence escalates, Ashley finally decides she wants out, but it isn’t easy walking away when you’re terrified. When you’ve been told enough times that you’re the one in the wrong, you believe that you are.

All incidents reflect what really happened, but with names changed at the request of the victim’s family.
