A new trailer has been released for Damien, the upcoming US drama series based on classic ’70s horror film The Omen.

From the makers of The Walking Dead and The Shield, the ten-part first season begins in the US on Monday 7 March on A&E, the US home of Bates Motel and The Returned.

Bradley James (Merlin) leads the cast as an adult Damien Thorn, the mysterious child from the original The Omen movie who has grown up seemingly unaware of the satanic forces around him. Haunted by his past, Damien must now come to terms with his true destiny – that he is the Antichrist.

A&E general manager Rob Sharenow commented last year: “A&E’s unwavering commitment to high quality original scripted drama programming, coupled with the sizable fan-base for our hit series Bates Motel, which so perfectly aligns with Damien, make the network the ideal fit for this exceptional show.”
