The first full series of Chickens begins on Sky1 on Thursday 22 August at 9.30pm, following a pilot episode on Channel 4 in September 2011.

It’s 1914, the Great War rages, millions of men have shipped off to join the fight, yet in the sleepy English village of Rittle-on-Sea, three young chaps, Cecil (Bird), George (Thomas) and Bert (Jonny Sweet), have stayed behind.
