The studio behind the series has revealed some first looks at the adaptation, revealing the artistic direction for Warrior Cats:

Considered one of those fantasy books read by people in their teens and held dear deep into adulthood, the adaptation to put the clans on screen has turned the heads of many a fan. The newest update from the studio developing the show has provided hungry fans with a first look at the series.

What is Warrior Cats about?

Based on the series of books penned under the name Erin Hunter but written by multiple authors, the series takes place in a fantastical replica of Earth. The tales (ha) follow different clans of cats, all set with their own specialities, territories, histories and politics. There’s love, war, friendship and betrayal littered (ha, ha) throughout the books. Plenty for an adaptation to work with, difficult to please all fans on.

The animation studio Tencent is working on the series with Rodrigo Blaas (Star Wars: Visions) as director and showrunner A.C. Bradley (What if…), both seasoned in handling properties with large fanbases.
