In the concluding part of the gritty thriller based on Sophie Hannah’s novel, Ruth Blacksmith has been arrested for the murder of her estranged husband while her boyfriend Aiden is preparing for the piano recital he hopes will gain him re-entry to university.
But what guilty secrets are the lovers keeping from each other? DS Charlie Zailer and DS Simon Waterhouse must establish the truth before there’s any more violence, but the tension between the two officers is rapidly approaching boiling point – will they let their personal feelings outweigh their professionalism?
