Posted Filed under

BBC One’s period crime drama Ripper Street comes to a dramatic conclusion this weekend. With Abberline adamant that he’s finally caught the Ripper, Inspector Reid finds himself battling to clear Jackson’s name, whilst also seeking out an old foe who may hold the secret to his lost daughter’s whereabouts.

Episode 8 airs at 9pm on Sunday 24 February on BBC One. To whet your appetite, here are ten teasing lines of dialogue from the episode…

» “They will call him Ripper, and hang him.”

» “Obsessions are addictions, which may not be defeated by actions in the physical world, but by a change of temper in the mind.”

» “You bide your time, and you trust in me.”

» “Your association with Captain Jackson; it has done us little but ill, in my humble opinion.”

» “No. Missing. No body found, or washed up.”

» “Do you think that you might begin to call me Victor?”

» “What use our work, Bennet, if we cannot care for those we love?”

» “No Rose, we grow far too fond of you here.”

» “You raise a hope that sinks its claws into me.”

» “Well. Shall we?”
