‘Ripper Street’: Episode 5 teasers

Posted Filed under

BBC One’s period crime drama Ripper Street continues to intrigue with this week’s episode, in which Inspector Reid’s right hand man, the staunchly loyal Drake, finds himself grappling with jewel thieves, old friends, past traumas and – worst of all – matters of the heart.

Episode 5 airs at 9pm on Sunday 27 January 2013 on BBC One. To whet your appetite, here are ten teasing lines of dialogue from the episode…

» “One single blue sapphire.”

» “Right between the eyes, at movement, from a rooftop. Could you have made that shot, sergeant?”

» “Please, call me Bennet.”

» “You’re gonna do a thing, lock me in a place and drop me on my so-forth and what-have-you.”

» “A bobtail like that will look you deep in the eye, only so long as she’s deep in your pocket.”

» “With an army of Drakes I could have saved Khartoum. I never knew a man hungrier for Dervish blood.”

» “We will show this rotted kingdom true justice.”

» “The local pet owners, alas, took exception.”

» “He telegraphed, estimates to return mid morning, provided consumption of my coffee does not provoke a further eruptive crisis of the lad’s young gut pipes.”

» “When you break his heart, be kind.”
