Hitchcock: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
A love story about one of the most influential filmmakers of the last century, Alfred Hitchcock and his wife and partner Alma Reville, Hitchcock takes place during the making of Hitchcock’s seminal movie Psycho. Anthony Hopkins stars in the title role, alongside Scarlett Johansson and James D’Arcy who portray Psycho stars Janet Leigh and Anthony Perkins, as well as Helen Mirren as Hitchcock’s wife Alma.
Bernard Herrmann: The Film Scores
American composer Bernard Herrmann (1911-1975) is particularly known for his collaborations with director Alfred Hitchcock and this CD includes the most famous of Bernard Herrmann’s scores to many of Hitchcock’s original films, such as ‘Psycho’, ‘Marnie’, ‘Vertigo’, ‘Torn Curtain’, ‘North by NorthWest’ and ‘The Man Who Knew Too Much’.
