Identity Thief is the story of Sandy Bigelow Patterson (Bateman) an everyday nice guy and a hardworking accountant who is shocked to find himself dramatically arrested on the way to work for a string of criminal activities he knows nothing about. Enter, Diana (McCarthy) an unhappy misfit who feeds her emptiness with an extravagant and lavish lifestyle, funded by identity theft and credit card fraud, and unfortunately for Sandy, he’s her latest victim. With the clock ticking and only one week to clear his name Sandy is forced to take matters into his own hands and trek across the country to locate the orchestrator of his bad luck.

What ensues is a dirty-as-hell, laugh-out-loud journey of crazy mishaps and silly shenanigans as Sandy tries to clear his name. Forced together Sandy and Diana have to flee from a series of menacing criminals and a badass bounty hunter, as they try to beat the clock.
