Midsomer Murders continued to set the bar higher by launching the current season with an episode in which (it appears) nobody died, leading to a Twitter furore!

Meanwhile on more traditional turf, Barnaby (Neil Dudgeon – Life of Riley) and Nelson (Gwilym Lee – Restless) investigate murder with aliens; murder with bicycles; murder with religious relics; murder with horses and more.  Guest stars include Julia Sawalha (Absolutely Fabulous), Cherie Lunghi (The Manageress), Alison Steadman (Gavin & Stacey) and Diana Quick (The Missing).

Midsomer Murders attracts top viewing figures on ITV and is one of the UK’s best programming exports with sales to 225 territories, from Afghanistan to Zambia. It is also a hit on Facebook, where the official page has over 185,000 fans.
