Hugo Speer has been named among the cast for London Kills, a new crime drama that has been ordered by the American streaming service Acorn TV. It’s unclear at this stage which channel will broadcast London Kills on this side of the Atlantic, but there are some very talented names involved.
Two seasons of five episode apiece will be shot back to back, with Suspects creator Paul Marquess leading the charge creatively. Speer – who has recently been seen in Britannia and The Musketeers – will lead the cast as DI David Bradford. This character will return to work, a while after his wife’s disappearance, only to find that very little progress has been made on the case.
Sharon Small (who recently appeared in the smash hit series Trust Me) will play DS Vivienne Cole, who has been leading the investigation without much success while Bradford was out of action.
Bailey Patrick (EastEnders) plays DC Rob Brady, a former soldier that gets caught in between Bradford and Cole. Rounding out the core cast is Tori Allen-Martin, an actress with a lot of stage pedigree, who will make her TV debut as a trainee DS named Billie Fitzgerald. We also know that Glynis Barber, Melanie Gutteridge, Jennie Jacques, Frances Tomelty and Dean Andrews have signed up for guest roles.
