The brief teaser reveals that the Daleks, the Cybermen, the Silence and the Weeping Angels will return for Matt Smith’s final episode, which airs on Wednesday 25 December on BBC One.

It was announced in June that Smith will leave the show in the episode after four years as The Doctor.

Series 8 begins filming at the end of next month and is expected to start airing on BBC One in August 2014.
