Coming soon to BBC Two, Line of Duty is a hard-hitting new thriller series exploring the world of police corruption.

When a counterterrorism raid goes tragically wrong, Detective Sergeant Steve Arnott refuses to participate in a cover-up. Ostracised by colleagues, he transfers to an anti-corruption unit, AC-12, led by Superintendent Ted Hastings. AC-12 is in the process of investigating one of the force’s most respected officers, Detective Chief Inspector Tony Gates.

Episode 1 airs at 9pm on Tuesday 26th June on BBC Two.

DS Steve Arnott was a high-flying counter-terrorism officer who refused to collude with his colleagues in the cover-up of the shooting of an innocent man. He finds himself seconded to Anti-Corruption, much to his displeasure.

DCI Tony Gates is the senior investigating officer on a serious crime unit, code name TO-20. He is adored by his loyal team and his clear up rate is second to none, which is why he’s under suspicion from Anti-Corruption.

VICKY MCCLURE as DC Kate Fleming

DC Kate Fleming is at first appearances an ambitious and dedicated officer intent on joining TO-20. However, her motive for getting close to Gates is not all it seems.

ADRIAN DUNBAR as Superintendent Ted Hastings

Superintendent Ted Hastings is principled and diligent. He is Arnott’s commanding officer in Anti-Corruption.

GINA MCKEE as Jackie Laverty

Jackie Laverty is a successful business woman and former girlfriend of Tony Gates. Her involvement in a crime plunges Gates into a moral dilemma that risks wrecking his career and his marriage.
