Last week we asked you to send in your TV-related questions and we’ve answered some of them for you here…
Phoebe Joyce asks: “When will Matt Smith’s Christopher And His Kind be shown? It was originally meant to air on BBC Two at the start of the year.”
We asked the BBC’s drama department yesterday and they told us: “The transmission date for Christopher And His Kind is currently around early March. We are awaiting final confirmation at the moment.”
@GardeningGolfer asks: “Is there going to be a further series of Survivors? We were left in the air somewhat!”
Sadly not. The BBC announced last April that Survivors had been cancelled, saying: “The BBC is committed to making a broad range of varied and ambitious drama, but in order to achieve this we do have to move on from some pieces in order to allow new work to come through. After two series, Survivors will not be returning.” Shame, especially as the “new work” turned out to be Outcasts.
@stevengm asks: “Hi there, I’m a Skins fan, do you know if Series 5 will feature a cliffhanger to close the series on?”
Earlier this week we asked Laya Lewis, who plays Liv on the show, and she told us: “Well, it’s not a crazy cliffhanger. Hopefully it’ll be next year that we all go crazy, but it’s a really positive ending, so that’s good.”
@Oncoming_Storm asks: “Whatever happened to early ‘80s detective drama Bognor? Loved that show and no DVD release…”
We had to look this one up as we’d never heard of it before! Airing for 21 episodes between 1981 and 1982, ITV axed the spy show due to poor ratings, unceremoniously moving the last few episodes to a late-night slot. We wouldn’t expect a DVD release anytime soon, I’m afraid.
Frank Hunter asks: “When will the second series of Sherlock begin?”
Mark Gatiss posted this on Twitter today: “For those kindly asking, we start shooting the new series of Sherlock in May and will be back on TV in the Autumn.”
