Las Vegas is a series in the gambling genre that ran from 2003 until 2008. This series takes place in the Montecito Resort in Las Vegas: America’s most famous gambling city. The series was created by Gary Scott Thompson and features actors such as Josh Duhamel, James Caan, Nikki Cox, Vanessa Marcil, Molly Sims, and James Lesure. The main characters Danny McCoy and his boss Ed Deline work at the Montecito Casino and try to keep it safe and fair by focusing on issues regarding valet parking, security, and restaurant management.

 

This series features five seasons and a total of 106 episodes–well enough to spend a long weekend or two with. If you’d rather check out the casino in real life, you’re out of luck because the casino and resort are completely fictional. This series was created by Bryan Cranston (known from the series Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul) and David Shore (Due South, NYPD Blue, and EZ Streets). This series is about a con man who takes the identity of his former cellmate Pete while being on the run from gangsters but ends up in an even more dangerous world.

 

The main actors in this series are Giovanni Ribisi, Marin Ireland, Libe Barer, and Shane McRae. The series only had 30 episodes spread over three seasons. Nevertheless, it is certainly worth watching with its twists and turns.

Billions

 

If you’re looking for a series that is still running, Billions might be for you. This series aired for the first time in 2016 and is still ongoing. This financial series is not only about gambling and casinos but also about wealth management. The characters in this series constantly change with the development of the storyline. Currently, the main characters are portrayed by Adam Bernstein, Daniel Attias, Shaz Bennett, Chloe Domont, Darren Grant, Joshua Marston, and Tara Nicole Weyr.

 

The story follows the main character Bobby Axelrod who is a hedge fund manager. He uses certain aggressive tactics that not everyone in the office appreciates, after which alliances are made, and groups start to form. The story also follows United States Attorney Chuck Rhoades who tries to prosecute Axelrod for using illegal measures.

 

This series was created by Brian Koppelman, David Levien, and Andrew Ross Sorkin and currently has six seasons and 72 episodes. It is one of the highest-rated series in the financial and gambling genre.
