Other Worlds is a prequel to the original Stranger Thing series from the Duffer Brothers

Good news for fans, though they have to wait until 2028 to watch

What do we know about Other Worlds

The show was revealed at the recent Netflix Stranger Things Day. The press release has little actual content, but does at least set a context:

The prequel series Other Worlds: A Stranger Things Adventure is set in the 1950s, decades before the Stranger Things gang uncovered a supernatural conspiracy in their small town of Hawkins, Indiana. The new show also predates the events of the award-winning stage play Stranger Things: The First Shadow, which explores Henry Creel’s troubled past in Hawkins in 1959.

Matt and Ross Duffer did say:

As cryptic as we might expect at this stage.

Showrunner, co-creator, and writer Kate Trefry, who also penned the script for The First Shadow, will executive produce alongside Joe Wright (Pride & Prejudice, Atonement, Darkest Hour), who will direct the first three episodes. Production on Other Worlds will take place in New Mexico.
