The plastic man at the core of many a British toy box and childhood is getting his turn in the limelight, here’s the latest on Action Man:
We’ve seen the likes of Barbie hit the silver screen and there’s a Matchbox adaptation on the way, now it seems like a old-school but not forgotten toy will be joining the ranks of moving from a box in the attack into a fresh new take on the property. The latest release of information on the production gives a little more of look behind the scenes.
What’s Action Man about?
Although there’s only a few details out about the titular character’s brand-new journey, apparently the film about the cult figurine is said to be deeply British with a reverence for action cinema. The figurine was produced in the UK after the success of GI Joe in the US, with his last on screen appearance being around the 2000s.
Who’s behind it?
There are two experienced characters from the industry working on the script, Simon Hatt (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3) and Anthony Sellitti (X-Men ’97). Jeremy Latcham (Avengers) is attached as a producer.
