Ludwig series 2 is scheduled for later this month on BBC 1

According the Radio Times (and if you check iPlayer), the series arrives on Thursday, August 20 ay 9 pm (the slot currently used for the Who Do You Think You Are?).

What more do we know about Ludwig series 2

We covered the bulk of the news in our recent article which focused on the cast. What is new, is the first three episodes will be available at once on iPlayer, though fans will have to wait until September to catch the other three. We already mentioned the renewal for series 3, but there is a little more news, again courtesy of the Radio Times.

Stephen Merchant is joining the show as a guest for episode 4, and it’s to David Mitchell’s Ludwig to determine be he friend or foe. No doubt sister-in-law Lucy (Anna Maxwell Martin) will be part of the process. Merchant plays “cocky snooker champion” Danny Sloane, shown above. Sadly, it looks like we have to wait until September to find out what his motives are.
