More often that not, the characters we see on TV and film are living the high life. There are obviously exceptions, Peter Parker AKA Spiderman lives a pretty humble existence when all is said and done. However for every Peter Parker, there is a Tony Stark or James Bond to even up the balance.
But in reality, would these characters really be capable of living the lives depicted on screen? Or would the boundaries set by real life scupper their luxurious lifestyles?
Canstar, Australia’s biggest financial comparisons site, has created an interactive which discovers if 24 iconic movie and TV characters could actually afford their homes on their annual income. Featuring the likes of Sherlock Holmes and 007 himself, the interactive game reveals whether or not these characters could really live in the accommodation as shown on screen.
The game also allows you to choose from 3 different currencies, US dollars, Aussie dollars and UK pounds, and allocate your income. Then you can choose from the 24 different films and TV shows and compare how your budget weighs up against theirs and if you could afford the residences of some of the most famous characters in pop culture.
