When you’re trying to set up a nice dating experience, the best thing you can do in 2020 is find a nice TV show or movie to watch together. Everything else is too much of a burden right now. If you don’t have someone to watch with you, there are many safe ways to find partners at the present time. Browsing gay dating sites, you can easily find people interested in cinema to discuss your favorite films. Here are some of the ones that you should think about watching.

Better Call Saul

The television show Better Call Saul is rushing forth into its last season and the penultimate one released in 2020 was simply amazing. We got a little more background on some of the events that made Saul into the man we know and love. Moreover, we saw a darker side of Kim Wexler that may have something to do with her lack of an appearance in Breaking Bad. Things are heating up with Gus’ crew and the Mexican cartel, so get ready for a pretty violent season!

The Umbrella Academy

The Umbrella Academy returned for its second season this summer and it was a smash hit. This time, all of the academy members find themselves back in the 1960s in Dallas. Some of them take it better than others. One thing is for sure, though. Five managed to barely escape an apocalyptic battle and nuclear war, so he once again tries to rally the family to take on enemies, including their father. This time, Vanya’s romance is at the forefront, and this time it’s not a man that she’s taken with.

Bojack Horseman

The final half of the final season for Bojack Horseman came to Netflix this year, giving us what little closure we can get from a show as dismal as this. Although we last saw Bojack in a pretty good spot in life, all that was about to end as the truth about Sarah Lynn was out. How does it affect Bojack and does he sink back into his harmful lifestyle? Well, you and your date will have to watch it and find out.

The Boys

The Boys is not your typical superhero show, and this time it’s even more gung-ho. If you haven’t seen the first season, then it’s time to watch that before the second season is entirely released. It’s one of the biggest shows out right now and it asks the same questions posted in The Watchmen– who watches the watchers? These superheroes are not all they’re cracked up to be and it’s about the get ugly between the Seven and the Boys.

The Thing About Harry

This film is a pretty sweet one. It tells the story of Sam, a gay man, who has to share a car ride with his high school bully, Harry. While it might seem like they are going to hit it off early in the movie and become friends, or something more, it’s never that easy. Harry, while identifying as pansexual, is a more complex figure than Sam believed.

Good Joe Bell

Beware, this movie is a tearjerker. In this movie, a man named Joe Bell decides to walk across America so that he can raise awareness about the circumstances of school bullying that led to his son’s death. This is based on a real story and Joe’s son was Jadin Bell, a young man that killed himself due to bullying. Even if you know how the story ends, it still hits home.

The Last Dance

Sports lovers that have suffered through a tremendous drought of content in the last few months can rejoice. This limited series allows you to see the rise of Michael Jordan. Interviews with Jordan and many others punctuate scenes of his incredible actions that led to him becoming a living legend.

There are many shows and movies that you can watch with a partner. Whether you’re together or you’re watching apart right now, any one of these suggestions can help you a great deal. Just make sure that you and your date agree on the style of media you want because some of these are very serious and some are rather sad.
