Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3 trailer and date

Lucasfilm reveal the details of the Batch’s final mission. 

We’ve known for a while that the third season of The Bad Batch, the Star Wars animation which follows an elite squat of republic clones after the end of the Clone Wars, will be the last.

Now, Lucasfilm and Disney+ have dropped a trailer to give us a taste of what that final mission will involve.

The Bad Batch season 2

In addition to the Batchers, now scattered following the events of Season 2, the pounding two-minute trailer showcases some new creatures and familiar faces. They include Phee (Wanda Sykes), Emperor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid) and bounty hunter Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen). It culminates with an appearance from ends with the fan favorite Sith-apprentice-turned-free-agent Asajj Ventress.

Executive Producer and supervising director Brad Rau told StarWars.com:

“We love Asajj Ventress. She’s a character that we’ve been wanting to tell more stories about. We don’t want to spoil anything, but want fans to know that any new storytelling with Ventress will align with the events of Star Wars: Dark Disciple.”

Star Wars: The Bad Batch comes from executive producers Dave Filoni (Ahsoka), Athena Portillo, Brad Rau, Jennifer Corbett and Carrie Beck. The producers are Josh Rimes and Alex Spotswood.

Rau is also serves as supervising director, with Corbett as head writer and Matt Michnovetz as story editor.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3 lands on Disney+ with a three-episode premiere on Wednesday, February 21st, 2024.

Subsequent episodes then drop weekly, culminating in a season finale on May 1st.
