A teaser trailer has been released for the long-awaited third series of BBC thriller The Capture, here’s a quick recap of what to expect:
What’s it about?
The Capture picks up the story for series three twelve months since the UK’s intelligence services shady operations were exposed to the nation. After Rachel Carey’s deepfake stunt to uncover the secrets of the hush-hush video manipulation program, Correction. An inquiry about the misuse of Correction is underway and Carey gains the title of Acting Commander of Counter Terrorism Command. She begins working on something to mend the public’s opinion of the intelligence services, the Operation Veritas camera system. A terror attack throws a spanner in Carey’s work and she’s forced to look deeper into an operation which was carried out right under her nose. As she begins to pull the thread, she realises it’s unspooling from the shadows at the centre of the state…

The cast members featured in the teaser are Paapa Essiedu (The Lazarus Project), Indira Varma (Game of Thrones), Holliday Grainger (Strike), Ben Miles (Douglas is Cancelled), Lia Williams (The Day of the Jackal), Ginny Holder (Death in Paradise), Nigel Lindsay (Four Lions) and Ron Perlman (Hellboy). New faces in this series include Killian Scott (Dublin Murders), Joe Dempsie (Skins), Andrew Buchan (Broadchurch), Hugh Quarshie (Othello) and Amanda Drew (A Very British Scandal).
When’s it out?
Although there’s no solid date yet, the third series is due to be out this spring.
