The military drama that left viewers confused, thinking that the series ended just after 4 episodes. It was however later revealed that the season was split into three different installments of four parts each.
It has now been confirmed that the much awaited TV show will be kicking off and fans cannot wait to see it started.

What to expect in this series
The new series will see Michelle Keegan playing Georgie Lane on tour in Nigeria, Bangladesh and Belize. In the Nigeria tour, Section 2 is faced with the task of training but gets embroiled in the kidnapped school girls’ case. The plot draws direct inspiration from the true abduction of over 200 school girls by the Boko Haram sect.
The next tour which takes them for training in the jungles of Belize will prove an eye opener as they will discover that despite its allure, the jungle can be a dangerous and unforgiving place.
The final tour involves a journey to Bangladesh where the company follows the plight of fleeing Rohingya refugees as they cross the border into overcrowded refugee camps.
New characters to look out for
While a lot of the characters will be retaining their roles, such as Michelle Keegan and Ben Aldridge who will also reprise his role as Captain James; there are a few surprises in the coming season. One major one in fact is the replacement for Elvis. You will recall that Elvis was tragically killed last year after discovering a hidden bomb on a routine mission just a short while after reuniting with his former fiancé, Georgie. His replacement is played by a bloke called Bones who was head of his old Special Forces unit that came to the rescue of section 2. While we will not be releasing the actor’s name at present, you can be rest assured that he will be someone you will enjoy watching. We are expecting Harki Bhambra to return as Rab and Shalon Brune to reprise her role as Maisie.
Other cast members to look out for include Simon Lennon as Brains, Sean Sagar who will be playing Monk, Sean Wards as Fingers, Sergeant King played by Rolan Bell, Adesanmi Charles as Kwabono and Adewole played by Patrick Sithole.
How will Our Girl run?
Our Girl, series 4 starts on Tuesday 5th June by 9pm and will be showing on BBC One. Each episode is about an hour long. The next episode will air on Tuesday 12 June, also at 9pm.
BBC have confirmed that this series will contain eight episodes although it is being split into two blocks of four episodes each with the latter four showing sometime later in the year.
From all indications, Our Girl season 4 looks like a TV show that should not be missed for any reason; you may even have to put off visiting the loo until the one hour is over, unless you have one of those Mirror LCD Televisions from in your bathroom.
This new series was again written by Our Girl creator Tony Grounds, however whether this is a continuation from previous season or an entirely different show, it will obviously be way different from the previous four episodes.
