Winter 2019 preview: 5 must-see gigs in Brighton

Posted Filed under

Some of the UK’s biggest stars are heading to the seaside later this year.

Kicking off a winter of awesome music, Marina will play Brighton Centre on Tuesday 5 November, having recently scored her third UK Top 5 album with ‘LOVE + FEAR’.

The very next day sees 80s legends a-ha take to the stage, performing in An Evening With format on Wednesday 6 November. For the first half of the concert, they will play new and old, familiar and less-familiar songs. Then, after returning to the stage, they will play the ten songs of their 1985 debut album Hunting High And Low in the running order of the original release.

Chilling out proceedings, next up is Dido on Wednedsday 4 December, performing material from her new album, as well as classic tracks, as part of her first tour in 15 years.

Then we’re heading back to the 80s as pop icon Adam Ant performs his landmark, solo album Friend or Foe for the first time, live in its entirety, as well as classic chart-topping singles and personal favourites on Friday 6 December.

Rounding out 2019 in ultimate disco style, get into the Christmas spirit with Bjorn Again on Friday 20 December. Performing all of Abba’s greatest hits, this promises to be one of the biggest parties of the year!
