Another Life has been renewed for season 2 at Netflix

Katee Sackhoff’s sci-fi series will be back for another run of episodes, it’s been confirmed…

The wait is over for fans who weren’t sure if Netflix would bring back Another Life for Another Season – the show’s star, Katee Sackhoff, has revealed that season 2 of the sci-fi drama is on the cards at the streaming service, with filming on ten new episodes due to get underway next year.

“I have the most exciting news!” Sackhoff posted on Twitter. “Another Life is coming back for Season 2 on @Netflix! Can’t wait to see you all back in space.”

A third season has been planned out, but Netflix has not confirmed if Another Life will get that far.

“We had the outline of what the show was going be, but I was in the writers’ room and I got to really put what I feel is my fingerprint on the show, which is something that I was really looking forward to,” the actress previously noted. “So, we know where the show potentially will go for the first three seasons. As an actor, that was new for me. To really be a part of those conversations and to have an opinion was really cool. I love this character, and I love the cast and the crew, and I want to do everything in my power to see it come back, for many years.”

Netflix has not revealed a release date for season 2, but it may end up rolling onto 2021, depending on the shooting schedule, post-production editing and special effects.
