The comic and Bake Off host stars as the infamous Highwayman in a new six-part comedy series.
Updated 06/02/24: Apple drop the trailer for The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin.
Ahead of the show’s March 1st premiere, there’s now an engaging trailer offering us a first look at Noel Fielding’s new Dick Turpin comedy.
With plenty of swashbuckling action, and its tongue firmly in its cheek, it shows Dick’s journey to infamy. Promising a less violent and more victim-focussed approach to highway robbery, and with clearly no restraint on the dick related puns, all involved have clearly had a lot of fun!
The Completely Made-up Adventures of Dick Turpin begins with a double-episode premiere on Friday, 1st March. The remaining four episodes follow on subsequent Fridays.

Apple TV+ reveal ‘The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin’
We reported on the genius casting of Noel Fielding as Dick Turpin way back in April 2022.
Now, Apple TV+ have revealed first images from the series, titled The Completely Made-up Adventures of Dick Turpin, which has a start date of March 1st, 2024.
Here’s the setup for The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin:
Dick Turpin (Noel Fielding) sets out on a journey of wildly absurd escapades when he’s made the reluctant leader of a band of outlaws — and tasked with outwitting corrupt lawman and self-appointed thief-taker Jonathan Wilde (Hugh Bonneville).
In this irreverent retelling set in the 18th century, Turpin is the most famous but least likely of highway robbers, whose success is defined mostly by his charm, showmanship and great hair. Together with his gang of lovable rogues, Turpin rides the highs and lows of his new endeavours, including a brush with celebrity, all whilst trying to escape the clutches of the thief-taker.
By the looks of the released images, there’s going to be an awful lot of dressing up!
