Zack Snyder is returning to his old style of film-making, having taken a step back from Marvel Universe. For all those that love Snyder’s previous work, there is a big treat coming your way. The new movie is centered around zombies, which if you know anything about Zack Snyder, means a return to the old roots. Zombies, and zombie-themed releases, is what helped Snyder kick-start his career in the movie industry.
Snyder first rose to fame after recreating George A. Romeo’s Dawn of the Dead. The remake was a major success, instantly launching Snyder into stardom. The enthusiastic reception gave him further opportunities to develop his own style and later, work on some bigger projects. One could say that Snyder is returning to his true, original style after 15 years of working on more commercial releases.
The way Snyder left his last DC project, Justice League is still full of hazy details. One thing is clear: it seems like the director wants to go back to his “older days” and work on a project, where he has more creative control.

During the production of the movie, the executive team has spent almost $90 million locally, hiring around 300 families to work on the project. The production is complete and the editing or final touches are now due to take place in studios in New Mexico. The movie is already one of the most anticipated releases of 2020. It has got both Marvel and Snyder fans overexcited, waiting in line to see the director’s next project.
Netflix is a good choice for Snyder, especially considering that the company gave the director full creative freedom. This is something that he had lacked in his other projects. The release of the movie is the start of a new era for Snyder. We cannot wait to see if the new motion feature lives up to the legacy of Dawn of the Dead. The director’s return to his original, old style of film-making is making a lot of fans very happy. It has been a \long time since we have seen a really good zombie movie come to life.
