Netflix have released a first look at season two of Atypical, its quirky coming-of-age drama about a teenager with autism, set to be released in September.
Atypical bowed last August to warm reviews and stars Keir Gilchrist as Sam, a young man on the autistic spectrum, who started season one on a quest for love. Jennifer Jason Leigh and Michael Rapaport filled out the cast as Sam’s parents and Brigette Lundy-Paine starred as his sister.
Season two will see Sam struggle with his parents’s separation, his sister enrolling in a new school and Sam’s impending graduation. We’ll also see the aftermath of Sam’s therapist, Julia’s (played by Amy Okuda) pregnancy reveal after last season.
Netflix have released a trailer for the next part of Atypical and it looks like this:
You can expect season two to premiere on Netflix on September 7th.
