We now have a date to go with that all-action Season 2 trailer.
Last Month’s ‘Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2022’ dropped a host of announcements for the expanding Star Wars Universe on Disney+, both for live action and animated shows.
Among the goodies was a trailer for the second run of Star Wars: The Bad Batch. However, that trailer didn’t come with a specific launch date, just confirmation that the show will land in the autumn. Happily, the streamer has now fixed a point in the calendar: Wednesday, the 28th of September.
Here’s the (pretty generic) premise for Season Two:
Months have passed since the events on Kamino and the Bad Batch continue their journey navigating the Empire after the fall of the Republic. They will cross paths with friends and foes, both new and familiar, as they take on a variety of thrilling mercenary missions that will take them to unexpected and dangerous new places.
Luckily, the trailer speaks for itself…
From the Emperor to a lightsaber wielding Wookie, the show looks like a lot of fun.
Like Season One, the new run will consist of 16 episodes. The Bad Batch stars Dee Bradley Baker, who reprises his role as most of the clones, as well as Michelle Ang as Omega.
We’ll keep you posted when we hear more.

Bad Batch season 2 announced by Disney+ — coming in 2022
Disney+ has announced Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 2 will arrive in 2022
Clone Force 99 will return for another mission as The Bad Batch season 2 is announced by Disney+. Given the popularity of season 1, this is low on the surprise scale, but welcome nonetheless.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch follows the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch (first introduced in Star Wars: The Clone Wars) — and their young charge, Omega — as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War.
It’s executive produced by Dave Filoni (The Mandalorian, Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Athena Portillo (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels), Brad Rau (Star Wars Rebels, Star Wars Resistance), Jennifer Corbett (Star Wars Resistance, NCIS), and Carrie Beck (The Mandalorian, Star Wars Rebels), with Josh Rimes (Star Wars Resistance) and Alex Spotswood (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels) serving as producers. Rau is also the supervising director, and Corbett serves as head writer.
The voice cast for season 1 included: Dee Bradley Baker, Michelle Ang, Dave Filoni, Tom Kane, Iain McDiarmid, Noshir Dalal, Rhea Periman and Bob Bergen. As yet we’ve no details on the season 2 cast.
