A star studded comedy is currently underway, with new and seasoned talents coming together. Here’s the latest we have on Bender:

Currently in production and set to film in Ireland this summer, the coming-of-age comedy has a story filled with absurdity and tension. The newest release about the project has revealed who we can expect to see in the cast.

What’s Bender about?

Taking place in the peak of the collective hysteria just ahead of the Papal visit to the Dublin in the late 1970s. The city is abuzz with anticipation and a group of teenage boys see an unlikely opportunity in the visit from the holy father himself. Bound together by a common interest, the teens want to finally lose their virginity ahead of graduating high school and the largest gathering of potential matches is about to happen. The plan seems to be in great contrast of the tone of the visit, but the visit itself is also in great contrast to the decline in livelihoods experienced by many at the time.

Who’s in it?

The feature is set to star Ruari Spooner (Harry Potter TV series), Bill Burr (Breaking Bad), Chris O’Dowd (The IT Crowd), Ruth Bradley (Slow Horses) and Kitty Graham.
