With the latest run of Death in Paradise past its halfway point, the BBC have revealed the return date for Beyond Paradise. In 2023, the spin off show was the UK’s most watched new drama across all channels and streamers.
Beyond Paradise is back for a second six-episode run, beginning on Friday 22nd March at 8pm. The series promises more heart-warming relationship stories and puzzling crime capers, set in the Devon and Cornwall countryside.
Beyond Paradise takes place in the fictional town of Shipton Abbot. It stars Kris Marshall as DI Humphry Goodman who has relocated there with his fiancé Martha Lloyd (Sally Bretton).
Here’s what we know about Beyond Paradise Series Two:
Shipton Abbott continues to keep DI Humphrey Goodman and his team busy, with a baffling new crime each episode. From a death on a steam train to a missing teacher, the team have their work cut out. Even more so with Police HQ’s threat of the local station house closure hanging over them – the pressure is on to get results.
Meanwhile, Humphrey and Martha’s journey to find their own version of a family continues as they explore the possibility of fostering. Martha’s mother Anne throws herself into the world of online dating, and a well-meant gesture from Esther’s daughter Zoe threatens to uncover a long-held secret…
Series Two promises the return of the whole Shipton Abbot police team. That’s Zahra Ahmadi (DS Esther Williams), Dylan Llewellyn (PC Kelby Hartford) and Felicity Montagu (Margo Martins). Plus, Barbara Flynn as Anne Lloyd, Martha’s mother.
Also returning are Jade Harison as CS Charlie Woods, Melina Sinadinou as Zoe, Eva Feiler as Lucy, Isaac Vincent-Norgate as Ryan, Amelia Vitale as Hannah, and last but not least, Selwyn the Duck!
